As reported by Variety, the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) and Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) have reached a tentative three-year agreement averting a strike. The deal needs to be ratified by membership.

The deal affects 60,000 film and television workers. Variety reports one union leader saying, the deal was “a greater gain than we’ve made in the history of negotiation.” Details are to come, but the deal includes 10 hour turnaround times between shifts, 3% wage increases for each of the next three years, improved working conditions for streaming productions, and “living wage” for the lowest paid workers.
