PHOENIX — Bill O’Neil, a freelance lighting designer based in the Phoenix area, died recently. His career in lighting spanned 34 years. O’Neil got his start in the business as a freelance lighting professional in Jan. 1980. From Dec. 1995 to Jan. 2008, he served as a lighting designer/director and project manager/technical director for Swank Audio Visuals. O’Neil had been working as a freelance lighting designer since Jan. 2008, working often with Precise Corporate Staging, among others.
“We have had the pleasure of working with Bill on multiple occasions throughout the years,” noted David and Marla Stern, owners of Precise Corporate Staging. “He was always a pleasure to work with and brought the same dedication and commitment to projects big and small. Our entire team at Precise Corporate Staging will miss him dearly.”
