NEW YORK – Dan Parise, CEO & president of Diversified Production Services (dps-us.com), who had organized and managed notable concerts and tours with top artists over a three-decade span, died Aug. 24 from a heart attack. He was 61.
Parise served as Live Nation’s director of production and created its Special Events Division, and continued producing major events after launching DPS in Weehawken, NJ in 2011.
His production credits include The Concert for New York City in 2001, A Concert for Hurricane Relief after Katrina hit New Orleans in 2005, the 25th Anniversary Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Concerts in 2009 and 12-12-12: A Concert for Sandy Relief in 2012, among others.
He also played key roles with top events including Garth Brooks at Yankee Stadium in 2016, the Global Citizen Festival, the Made in America Festival, the iHeartRadio Music Festival and several Super Bowl Halftime performances including this year’s show with Jennifer Lopez and Shakira.
DPS, a joint venture with Roc Nation, also recently produced Meek Mill’s Motivation Tour, iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour and Michelle Obama’s Becoming tour.
Parise was also nominated for Emmy and Grammy awards for his work on the Beyonce & Jay-Z: On the Run 2014 concert film and 12-12-12: A Concert for Sandy Relief.
Before joining Live Nation, Parise toured with numerous national acts and oversaw the New York-based production teams with Clear Channel Entertainment, SFX and Metropolitan Entertainment.
An outdoors enthusiast, Parise also had a taste for fine wine, classic cars and was also an avid collector of vintage basses and guitars.
