After a brief stint in the U.S. Army, Cannon joined the lighting industry, beginning what would become a life-long career. He later became an employee of BASH Theatrical Lighting and worked for his uncle, Bob Cannon, and Don Stern for nearly 20 years.
Jimmy Cannon later joined 4Wall, working for cousin and CEO Michael Cannon. Jimmy and Michael Cannon established the first 4Wall office in Las Vegas, NV. Jimmy Cannon then relocated back to New Jersey with the opening of 4Wall New York. He was the general manager there for more than nine years.
During his time overseeing the New York operation, the location grew to be the largest of all of 4Wall’s offices. The current facility there operates out of more than 135,000 square feet of space.
Throughout it all, Jimmy endeared himself to his employees, customers, and friends. His quirky personality belied a very caring and genuine person.
Michael Cannon, 4Wall CEO, spoke of the loss.
“Jimmy was a unique character and personality, not only in the lighting industry, but in life in general. His love for his co-workers, as well as his impact on the industry that he loved, will not be forgotten.”
