In Memoriam: Kendall E. Carter, 53

OLD HICKORY, TN — Kendall E. Carter, 53, died Nov. 23, 2016 at his home in Old Hickory, TN, near Nashville. Born in Baker, LA, near Baton Rouge, he hit the road at age 19, heading out to Los Angeles and joining Showlites. He toured with top rock and country acts and helped Rhino launch its Louisiana office before joining VER as a project manager in 2012.

Carter’s touring career included treks with Mötley Crüe, Ratt, Cinderella, Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, REO Speedwagon, Rolling Stones, Tina Turner, Reba McEntire, Rascal Flatts, Power Rangers, The Moscow Circus and other well-known acts. Between tours, his hobbies included hunting, fishing and cooking for others.

Predeceased by his parents Robert and Betty Carter and sister Yvette Carter, Kendall is survived by his wife, two children, a sister and brother. Visitation services took place Nov. 27, with a Celebration of Life memorial service following on Nov. 28 at 11 a.m. at Hermitage Funeral Home in Old Hickory.
