MANASQUAN, NJ — Leonard “Lenny” Sullivan, 34, died in Kansas City, Mo. on  Oct. 26 while supporting the tour of his cousin, Bruce Springsteen, who was touring with the E Street Band.

“He was a great guy and great friend of all of ours,” said John Hoffman, lighting director on the tour, where Sullivan had been working as assistant road manager. The show in Kansas City that evening was canceled, but the band took part in a 25th Rock and Roll Hall of Fame concert held at New York’s Madison Square Garden on Oct. 29.

Kirby of Freehold; aunts and uncles, and 28 cousins.

A funeral mass was set for Oct. 31 in Manasquan. Donations in Sullivan’s memory can be made to the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Ocean County, N.J.
