MADISON, TN — Music touring professional Mark Harmon, who served as tour manager, production manager and FOH/monitor engineer for numerous country acts, passed away unexpectedly on September 3, 2018. The longtime Nashville area resident was only 60, yet touched countless lives.
Born on June 15, 1958 in Lebanon, IN, Harmon graduated from Thomas Carr Howe Community High School in Indianapolis and attended Indiana University in Bloomington, IN.
In 1986, Harmon began his long career in the live event production industry. He worked as an independent sound engineer, production manager and tour manager for country music artists including Dierks Bentley, Chase Bryant, Jerrod Niemann, Blake Shelton, Josh Gracin and Joe Nichols, among many others.
Harmon is survived by his wife, Joanne Segrest Harmon, whom he married in 1997, and three daughters. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, money donated towards the funeral and time of healing would be appreciated.
Friends and associates joined together for a celebration of life for Mark Harmon, held at 4:00 pm, Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at the Grand Ole Opry’s Studio A in Nashville.
