TULSA, OK – Jason Aldean’s They Don’t Know tour skipped three shows last weekend “out of respect for the victims,” the singer noted, on his website, jasonaldean.com. Aldean was the last performer to take the stage at the Route 91 Music Festival outside the Mandalay Bay Casino in Las Vegas and was performing when the Oct. 1, 2017 mass shooting began, leaving 58 dead. The singer also made a surprise appearance on SNL Oct. 7 to perform a tribute to both the Las Vegas victims and Tom Petty, who died Oct. 2, with a cover of Petty’s 1989 hit, “I Won’t Back Down.”

“As a result of what happened in Las Vegas this week, we have decided to cancel this coming weekend’s shows,” Aldean noted. “I feel like out of respect for the victims, their families and our fans, it is the right thing to do. It has been an emotional time for everyone involved this week, so we plan to take some time to mourn the ones we have lost and be close with our family and friends. Our plan is to resume the tour the following week in Tulsa, Oklahoma.”

The canceled shows has been set for Friday, Oct. 6 at the Forum in Los Angeles; Saturday, Oct. 7 at the Mattress Firm Amphitheatre in Chula Vista, CA (near San Diego); and Sunday, Oct. 8 at Honda Center in Anaheim, CA. The tour is set to resume with the Oct. 12, 2017 tour stop at BOK Center in Tulsa.
