ADDISON, TX — Pyrotecnico FX, based here, noted that its proprietary laser technology is touring with Justin Timberlake’s 20/20 Experience tour. Pyrotecnico worked lighting/video/audio supplier Solotech and LD/production designer Nick Whitehouse on the laser system’s design and use for the tour.

Pyrotecnico FX, an internationally-recognized leader in laser entertainment and special effects, announces that they were tapped by Justin Timberlake’s design team to bring cutting edge laser effects to his latest world tour. Using proprietary technologies and techniques, Pyrotecnico FX leveraged its audience-scanning abilities to create a totally immersive laser element to the tour that has never been attempted in the United States at such a grand scale.
Pyrotecnico worked hand in hand with Solotech, the tour’s Audio/Video/Lighting vendor to design and create the touring laser system. Ultimately, Pyrotecnico FX supplied them with 25 custom laser projectors and a proprietary control network. Pyrotecnico also worked closely with Nick Whitehouse, the tour’s lighting and production designer, to create a control system and laser looks that fit his style of programming. “Nick came to us with very specific requests for controlling the lasers – he wanted a high degree of resolution from his board,” said Kelly Sticksel, chief development officer for Pyrotecnico. “Our team developed a powerful programming system and Vision-Safe laser frames that allowed Nick to really integrate the lasers into his production. The final effect is simply stunning – the lasers become an integral part of the audience experience – nothing feels force fit.”
