LAS VEGAS — This is the last week for PLSN readers to vote for their favorite regional lighting companies now in the running for the 2015 Parnelli Hometown Hero Lighting Company of the Year award. This stage of the voting process will narrow the current field of 30 regional companies now on the Hometown Hero ballot down to six regional winners (five U.S. regions and all of Canada), and the Hometown Hero preliminary voting deadline is Friday July 31 at 5 p.m.
In early August, these six Hometown Hero regional winners will be announced. They’ll also get automatic placement on the 2015 Parnelli Awards ballot for a second round of voting throughout the month of September for a crack at the national title. The “best of the best” will then be eligible to step up to the Parnelli Awards podium at the Rio Hotel & Casino Oct 24 to claim the 2015 Hometown Hero Lighting Company of the Year Award.
Also in August, nominations for other Parnelli Awards categories continue to be logged at http://parnelliawards.com/nominate.php and http://parnelliawards.com/nominate_ITawards.php. All those electronic nominations will be carefully tallied in late August, and by early September, the 2015 Parnelli Awards Ballot will appear online. Voting will continue for all Parnelli Awards categories throughout the month of September.
The companies, individuals and products that garner the most votes in September — there are more than two dozen awards categories in all — will then be honored at the 2015 Parnelli Awards gala on Oct. 24, joining Lifetime Achievement Award winner Chris Lamb, Parnelli Visionary Award winner David Cunningham and Audio Innovator award winner Pat Quilter.
