NEW ORLEANS — Train’s fall tour, supporting the band’s new album, Save Me, San Francisco, is rolling across the U.S. with lighting, video and audio support from LMG Touring. Along with a full audio control package, LMG Touring’s engineering team also outfitted a compact, integrated system for the lighting and video elements of the tour, designed into one package that controls projection, cameras, and a digital disk recorder using the grandMA lighting console.
“This system allows the lighting technician the ability to switch multiple sources of video for the show, directly from the lighting console, in addition to controlling the moving lights and LED,” said Steve McCale, director of touring at LMG.
LMG lighting and video package included Martin MAC 700s, Martin VLX LED fixtures, Colorblast LEDs, High End Systems DL.3s, screens, lipstick cameras and truss. “Our goal was to provide Train with a turnkey solution that would meet all their audio, video and lighting needs, wrapped into a compact, easy-to-use touring package to offer maximum flexibility,” McCale said.
