NASHVILLE, TN – This year’s ride has been dubbed “Cruzin’ the Ozarks, The Dozenth’ Year.” Riders will gather in Nashville, Tennessee, ride down the bucolic Natchez Trace toward the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas and Missouri and then circle back and pass through the Land Between the Lakes on their return to Nashville. The route will feature day rides venturing deep into the Ozarks, departing from picturesque Petit Jean State Park. Experienced riders know these roads as some of the best riding in the country, including the ‘Pig Trail Parkway’, ‘Ozark Dragon’, and the ‘Arkansas Grand Canyon’.

The ride begins in Nashville on Sunday, May 31st and ends on Sunday, June 7th with the traditional meet and greet on Saturday, May 30th. Ride Marshalls this year will be Mark ‘Hobnail’ Heiser and Alison ‘Earth Girl’ Heiser. “This is the first time the group has been to this part of the country”, noted Mark “and we’re looking forward to the adventure”. Alison added, “We’re hoping to meet lots of folks along the way and that riders from the area will join us to help raise awareness for these two important industry charities”.
The Long Reach Long Riders have been raising money for Broadway
Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and the PLASA Foundation’s Behind the Scenes program since 2004. In the first eleven years the group has raised over $450,000.00.
Bill Sapsis, one of the founding members observed, “A one time ride has become an annual event and we’re honored to support these two very worthwhile organizations”.
