PITTSBURGH, PA – LUXE Creative served as the artistic lighting and production arm for this year’s Thrival Music Festival 2016, providing Creative Direction and Design for the two-day outdoor live music experience. With Creative Direction from LUXE Creative Founder + CEO, Martin Potoczny, the group was able to tell Pittsburgh’s story through a curated live experience. The event featured over 250,000W of lighting fixtures, and over seven miles of cabling for the scenic lighting of the historic site alone.

Specialty and rare onsite spaces also included headliner dressing room interior designs, SKYY Vodka brand experience for VIP guests, artist world, and a custom catering space + lounge. From the vast artistic lighting systems, to the atmospheres and backdrops across dual stages, this execution helped to position Thrival Music Festival 2016 as a major player in the music festival circuit.

Launched in 2013 by Pittsburgh-based nonprofit Thrill Mill, Inc., Pittsburgh’s Thrival Innovation + Music Festival is an annual weeklong event that showcases the former industrial giant’s resurgence as a dynamic tech and creative hub. Running September 20th – 24th, 2016, the festival featured multiple days of immersive, innovation-focused programming, capped by a diverse two-day outdoor live music experience with world renowned talent. Thrival musical headliners included The Chainsmokers, CHVRCHES, Thievery Corporation, Metric, Lettuce and others.
