MUSKEGON, MI — The Worship Arts Technology Summit (WATS) will be held September 14 to 16, 2009 at the Maranatha Bible and Missionary Conference Center on the shores of Lake Michigan. Martin Professional, Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc., Yamaha Corporation of America and Shure are sponsors. WATS will offer product training to all church technicians and musicians in the areas of lighting, recording, media presentation, audio and musicianship. Along with pro lighting audio representatives, leading worship musicians and other lighting and sound professionals will attend.

The program includes in-depth three-day tracks focusing on lighting, media, audio and music. All skill levels are welcome as the training will be presented in structured technology tracks, allowing attendees to begin with the basics and build upon them with a series of increasingly advanced class offerings.

The Summit is structured to give attendees more time to apply theory to real situations than they might get with a typical two-day event. Applications and principles will be demonstrated in real time, with real musicians in real rooms that aren't conducive to live sound, just like the ones in most real churches. And, participants will have their hands on real gear.
