LAS VEGAS — The governing body of the Parnelli Awards announces that Michael MacDonald has joined its Board of Advisors. MacDonald, who has more than three decades of experience in the pro-audio/video industry, was named President of ATK Audiotek, a leading audio production and systems integration vendor, in Sept. 2012.
“We are absolutely thrilled that Michael has been able to join the board again,” said Parnelli executive director Terry Lowe, who is also publisher of PLSN and FRONT of HOUSE magazines, noting that MacDonald had served on the first Parnelli board, back in its earliest days. “He is one of the most knowledgeable, respected members of the pro audio community, and we look forward to sage council and contributions.”
Prior to ATK, MacDonald served as EVP of sales and marketing at Harman Professional. He has also served as president of Harman brand JBL Professional and held top management positions for Yamaha International over a 10-year span.
MacDonald has also consulted with more than 30 pro audio companies and trade organizations and has also worked as lead audio engineer on a variety of major tours and projects including Olympics Opening and Closing Ceremonies, the Grammy Awards and Presidential debates.
This year the Parnelli Awards will be held at the Mirage Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013. For more information about the Parnellis, go to www.parnelliawards.com.
