More details from Mountain Productions (www.mountainproductions.com):

Established in 1985, Mountain Productions’ CM Hoist School is dedicated to preparing the industry’s next best talent for the future of entertainment rigging. The program was founded on the belief that the key to success lies in safe, efficient and proper handling of equipment and in-depth, hands-on training for employees and crews.

This year’s event will feature seminars in hoist maintenance, proper rigging techniques, motor control and fall protection, among other topics, along with discussions from the industry’s most influential leaders. Among those scheduled to lead the classrooms are Ed Leahy, head trainer for The Chicago Flyhouse; Dave Carmack, lead trainer with Columbus McKinnon; and Mike Webb, motor control expert with Motion Laboratories. Mountain Productions will also be hosting a variety of vendors throughout the week-long training that will showcase some of the latest, most essential production equipment to the class.

Registration for this event can be completed online, at www.HoistSchool.com, and includes enrollment in all courses, housing and dining, free access to CM’s Online Lodestar Maintenance Training and a discount code for Mountain Productions’ online rigging shop. Members of USITT and IATSE are offered special registration rates in appreciation for their long-standing dedication to excellence in the entertainment industry. Additional registration information and potential promotions can be found by visiting HoistSchool.com.

For more than 30 years, Mountain Productions has welcomed thousands of students from across the globe. As North America’s leader in staging and rigging, they remain dedicated to providing a world-class education for the advancement of their students and for the growth of the entertainment industry, as a whole. In order to maintain small class sizes and the hand-on mentality of the program, registration is limited. It is encouraged that those interested register early to guarantee their placement.
