More details from Royal Philips Electronics (www.philips.com):

“We have had a tremendously positive industry response to the introduction of the NEO lighting control console,” said Harrell. “While NEO is simple and intuitive to use, training always makes the programming process simpler and more complete. These comprehensive courses allow the user to understand NEO at different levels and take their productions beyond their expectations.”

The Beginner training course will focus on the basic operation of the NEO lighting control consoles and is oriented towards new users that wish to light theatre, music events, dance, meetings, assemblies, church services, TV studios and more. The Intermediate training class will cover the intermediate level operation for NEO consoles, focusing more on LED and automated luminaire programming for theatrical based events.

The introduction of the NEO lighting control console marks a new chapter in the evolution of control from Philips Strand Lighting giving designers and operators the ability to seize the light. With many timesaving features that allow the user to program faster and more accurately, NEO Icons and Shutter controls are represented graphically on the display, Floating Windows allow the operator to configure their views their way, and Effects are revolutionized with “Time Line” features allowing drag and drop to create that perfectly timed sequence. NEO boot time is also massively reduced using high-speed, solid-state disk drives making the NEO lighting control console one of the most robust consoles available today.

Philips Strand Lighting and Philips Selecon offer the world’s most comprehensive and competitive range of luminaires, dimming equipment, control systems and software to answer the creative needs of lighting designers working in theatre, television, film, themed environments and sophisticated architectural applications.
