The categories include lighting designer, set/scenic designer, video director, lighting company, staging company, set construction, video rental, coach company, rigging company, pyro company, trucking company, freight forwarding, tour manager, and production manager.
New this year is the “IT” Awards. Standing for “Indispensable Technology,” they will honor innovative and road-worthy lighting and staging gear. Nominations for “IT” awards also close Aug. 31, with voting for Parnelli and “IT” awards to start in early September.
The ninth annual Parnelli awards will be held at the Peabody Orlando resort on Nov. 20, 2009, in conjunction with LDI. Along with Jake Berry, winner of the 2009 Parnelli Lifetime Achievement Award, and Richard Belliveau, winner of the 2009 Parnelli Visionary Award, winners of the Parnelli Awards, “IT” Awards and Hometown Heroes awards competition will all be recognized.
