LAS VEGAS — The Parnelli Board of Advisors tallied last month’s nominations from PLSN readers and the final voting has begun, with an online ballot at parnelliawards.com/vote. Until the final witching hour — Oct. 31, at noon PST — PLSN readers will be able to cast their votes for 2013’s top designers, production rental companies and products in the realms of lighting, staging, video and sound.
Along with such categories as top Lighting Company, Lighting Designer, Set/Scenic Designer, Video Company, Video Director, Staging Company, Rigging Company, Set Construction Company and more, PLSN readers can now vote for their favorite among the six finalists in the 2013 Hometown Hero Lighting Company of the Year competition, along with their top pick for the best Indispensable Technology “IT” finalists for lighting, staging, video and sound products.
The winners will be announced at the 2013 Parnelli Awards gala, set for Nov. 23, 2013 and hosted by Micky Dolenz at the Mirage Las Vegas. The 8 p.m. gala follows the 7 p.m. cocktail reception, and among the many highlights of the evening will be the presentation of lifetime achievement honors to George Travis along with the bestowal of the Parnelli Visionary Award (to Eric Pearce) and Audio Innovator Award (to Mark Engebretson).
