LANCASTER, PA — Performance Environment Design Group LLC (PEDG), a Lancaster, PA-based lighting and production design company that began as a partnership in 2000 between Justin Collie and Spike Brant, announced that it has changed its name to Nimblist. Since its founding, as PEDG and under a previous name, the company has created immersive entertainment experiences for the NFL, Bon Jovi and Pearl Jam, among others.

More details from Nimblist (http://nimblist.com):

What began as a partnership in 2000 between Justin Collie and Spike Brant grew into the design firm PEDG in 2008. The conscious decision to rebrand this past year was made out of a desire to better articulate what the company has since become and where it is headed in the future, with a focus on permanent and semi-permanent installations as well as experiential design work for brands and non-profits – in addition to their stable of live music event clients.

“The name Nimblist reflects our approach on how we do what we do. We have a deep commitment to our craft and are dedicated to creating memorable events and experiences for our clients whether they’re a music act, a brand, a city or a philanthropic organization,” said Collie.

“In the beginning we coined ‘Performance Environment Design’ as the tagline for our approach but over the last 15 years we have evolved into a generative business” added Brant. “We have continued to learn and apply our collective experience to the uncharted and unknown.”

Nimblist has also increased internal efforts to assert its values as a “people first,” pro- environment and collaborative company. “We believe our values and client base will help expand Lancaster City’s role as a magnet for creative thinkers and are excited for what the future of our company holds.” said Deborah Barber, Nimblist’s VP of Operations.

In the live event and touring space, Nimblist has created scenic, lighting and production design for dozens of acts including Beck, Mary J. Blige, Jon Bon Jovi, Beyonce, Jay-Z, Ice Cube and Lil Wayne. They have also designed large-scale media awards, music festivals and special events such as, the first YouTube video awards alongside Spike Jonze, iHeart Radio Music Festivals, Pepsi Fan Jam and NFL Kickoff Concert. Major projects for large US consumer and entertainment media brands include Nike, Syfy Channel and non-profits such as Robin Hood Foundation.

The new name became effective January 1, 2017.
