LAS VEGAS, NV – At the end of August, PLSN announced the search for the first PLSN Student Reporter for the 2011 LDI Show sponsored by Chauvet. Throughout September, college and university students within the U.S. submitted short videos explaining a new product and demonstrating why they should be chosen. On Sept. 30, the search concluded. After a week of watching hours submitted videos and follow up phone interviews, Kent Laue has been named the first PLSN Student Reporter.
Kent is a senior at the University of Wyoming working on his Bachelor of Fine arts in Theatrical and Dance Lighting Design. Just this past summer, Kent was a lighting intern at Production Resource Group (PRG) in Las Vegas. In 2010 he was an electrics apprentice at the Santa Fe Opera.
Kent will be joining the PLSN staff at the 2011 LDI Show in Orlando Florida Oct. 28 through 30. He will be covering the show alongside PLSN editor, Justin Lang, providing a student perspective, sharing his views and updates throughout LDI on PLSN’s social networking site, ProLightingSpace.
Thank you to all of the students that submitted their videos to the PLSN Student Reporter Search. You didn’t make the finial decision easy!
