TEMPE, AZ – The U.S. Chamber of Commerce will honor Precise Corporate Staging (PCS) with the Blue Ribbon Small Business Award for a second consecutive year at the 10th annual America’s Small Business Summit, June 11-13 in Washington, D.C. The Tempe-based staging and live event production company is one of 100 companies nationwide, and two in Arizona, that will be honored.
“As the business community has worked hard to do its part in moving the country forward economically, small businesses have continued to be the driving force responsible for much of our progress,” said U.S. Chamber President and CEO Thomas J. Donohue. “Our Blue Ribbon Award winners are the best of the best—growing and succeeding despite significant challenges.”
The awards program, sponsored by Sam’s Club, honors and recognizes companies that demonstrate excellent business practices in several areas including strategy, employee development, community involvement and customer service.
Having won the Blue Ribbon Small Business Award in 2013 for its growth as a company and surviving the economic climate, PCS garnered its second straight Blue Ribbon award for its charitable work. The company has donated $2.5 million in time, equipment and money since its inception in 2000.
The company’s growth has been paralleled by its community involvement donating in-kind support and services to multiple organizations such as: Alice Cooper’s Solid Rock Foundation, March of Dimes, Make-a-Wish Foundation, Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, and various hospice care and children’s wellness programs.
“We like to give back to kids’ programs,” said PCS co-founder Dave Stern, “It’s our way of helping kids. If you can change one kid’s life you can change the world.”
New community events this past year include donating the technical labor, staging, lighting, audio and video equipment to the weekend-long 14th Annual Canon Customer Appreciation Reception and fundraiser benefitting the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and to the Boys & Girls Club of the Sioux Empire in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
“Precise Corporate Staging stepped up to the plate at our signature event in Las Vegas, “THE Fundraiser” for the Brennan Rock and Roll Academy,” said founder Chuck Brennan. “Because of the efforts of the company, especially the owner David Stern, we were able to have an unbelievable event and change the lives of the children of Sioux Falls.”
“We have a desire to help and provide opportunities for others,” said PCS co-founder Marla Stern. “To win an award like this means all our hard work and customer service is paying off and that we’re able to give back.”
