Precise Corporate Staging Lights Glenn Beck at Cowboys Stadium

DALLAS — Glenn Beck, the former Fox News host and conservative policy advocate who drew large crowds for events titled “Restoring Honor” in Washington, DC in 2010 and “Restoring Courage” in Israel in 2011, pulled 65,000 into Cowboys Stadium July 28 for a third major assembly titled “Restoring Love.” Precise Corporate Staging lit the event.

Held upon a large, cross-shaped stage that extended over much of the central playing field area, with I-Mag video support from the stadium’s huge LED screen, the event was hardly a one-man show, with a full orchestra and 30-voice Gospel choir providing musical entertainment.

But the main focus was Beck, whose spoken-word performance combined religious and self-help motivation with a history lesson (including authentic and replicated artifacts) — and while the theme for the evening was more about unity than polarization, the former Tea Party advocate issued a few political barbs as well.

Declaring the gathering as part of a new movement, Beck made a point of keeping every seat in the house at a $10 price tag, asking those who thought they could pay more to make a donation to his charity, Mercury One. The event also rallied support from hundreds of volunteer groups.

To light the event, Precise Corporate Staging provided 56 Procan 8 light Blinders, 172 Martin MAC 2000 Profiles, 44 Martin MAC 2000 Wash fixtures and six Lycian M2 followspots, along with 1,000 feet of Tyler GT Truss.
