GLENDALE, AZ and TACLOBAN, The Philippines — Separate accidents linked with the setup for the NFL’s Super Bowl in the U.S. and Pope Francis’ visit to the Philippines claimed the lives of Ryan “Scrappy” Lipman, 31, on Jan. 14 and Kristel Mae Padasas, 27, on Jan. 17.
