In celebration of their new CD, #LetsGo, Planetshakers and Daystar Television Network joined forces to produce an exclusive live event – Planetshakers LIVE – the likes of which had never been attempted on Christian television. The event, hosted by Brian Carn and Lakewood Church’s John Gray, aired live on Daystar from Dallas, TX, and featured tracks from the group’s new album and personal ‘Let’s Go’ stories from band members and guests.
For the landmark event, Planetshakers’ lighting designer Jeff Laux specified a variety of High End Systems gear, including 16 SHAPESHIFTER C1s, four SHAPESHIFTER C2’s and eight SolaSpot Pro 1500s, as well as AXON HD and Hog 4. Gear was supplied by High End Systems Dealer Front Porch Productions.
Lax comments, “The High End Systems gear was amazing! The SHAPESHIFTER is a fixture like no other. The way you can move the beams with that fixture is insane. I have been a HOG guy for over a decade, and this is the first time I have been able to get ahold of the HOG 4. All I can say is WOW. Moving from my house Road Hog Full Boars to the HOG 4 was simple, but the extras that are in the console just make it that much better. We used Axon Pro HD and Axon HD to run content going to the LED panels. I have used other media servers in the past but the Axon beats them all. It is the smoothest running and easiest to learn of any server I have ever used.
“We used SolaSpot Pro 1500s for our front light; our audio team loved how quiet they are. It put out such a soft light, which is what we wanted for this event. No one could believe that it was an all LED engine inside. Our shaders kept going on – on how even the output and color was between every fixture. High End has a amazing line up already, I can’t wait to see what they come up with next!”
