FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – Jay Krause of Sound and Lighting Solutions provided 100 Chauvet and Iluminarc fixtures to support Andy Kostas’ interior design for the bi-level 8,500-square-foot SHO Nightclub, which opened earlier this year.

The club is using six Q-Spot 260 LED moving heads, four LED Techno Strobe strobe lights, four Intimidator Scan LED scanners, plus 14 COLORdash PAR, 60 Ilumipod LOGIC 12, two Ilumiline LOGIC 12 and eight Ilumiline LOGIC 24 wash lights.

Twelve recessed Ilumipod LOGIC 12 wash lights provide downlighting to the club’s large rectangular bar while 14 Chauvet COLORdash PAR wash lights, six Chauvet Q-Spot 260 LED moving heads and four LED Techno Strobe lights illuminate the dance floor and VIP areas.

Eight Ilumiline LOGIC 24 and two Ilumiline LOGIC 12 wash lights line the DJ booth, which is set inside a wall-to-wall, red-velvet lined VIP area.

The second floor’s additional VIP areas, DJ booth, dance floor and bar glows a serene, bluish-green color with 45 recessed Ilumipod LOGIC 12 wash lights downlighting the space and four Chauvet Intimidator Scan LED scanners projecting gobos that glide along the floor and walls.

“The lighting installed at SHO is so versatile that one night it can feel like an elegant lounge and the next night it’s transformed to a mind-blowing club environment,” said Luis Goenaga, the club’s sound and lighting director. “Changing the ambiance from one end of the spectrum to another can be done with the flick of a switch.”

“The lighting we use adds electric energy to the music format and our club environment as a whole,” added Vito Viscito, the club’s general manager, who credited the installation for its ease of operation. “It is one of the most user-friendly systems I have ever had the pleasure to work with.”
