Solotech once again raised the technical production level of the event to the delight of the visitors that came to celebrate at one of the trendiest and most cherished winter music festivals in Canada.
As the official collaborator of Igloofest since its creation, Solotech has provided technical expertise and state of the art equipment for the event that takes places in the Old Port of Montreal. The result of this partnership produced many magical moments with a spectacular Sound and Light Show. Solotech set up two giant animated stages, architectural lighting, explosive light projections and an electrifying sound system. As anticipated, the unique environment exceeded the wildest expectations of electronic music fans!
This year Solotech strived to reduce the energy consumed by the equipment used at the festival. “Solotech used LED lighting instead of traditional lamps on the entire site. This significantly reduced the energy usage”, describes Dominic Melançon, Solotech Project Manager for the event.
4U2C, a company specializing in visual content creation conceived both the stage and lighting designs for the entire Igloofest site. Solotech and the 4U2C team, led by Karl Gaudreau, responsible for the visual design, worked closely to ensure the success of the event.
Over the years, Solotech has developed an in-depth expertise for winter shows and events including the Montréal en Lumière Festival, the Red Bull Crashed Ice and the Québec Winter Carnival to name a few. As Igloofest, one of the largest winter music festivals in the world, will be celebrating its 10th anniversary next year, Solotech promises an unbelievable event!
