ASBURY PARK, NJ — Pulse Stage Lighting, a provider of lighting, audio, video and staging, provided a forward-thinking rigging solution to help solve a key lighting issue with Stone Temple Pilots’ July 26 show at the Stone Pony’s outdoor summer stage.
The problem was finding a way to have “the light hit the performers’ faces, and not the top of their heads,” said Scott de Villers, president of Pulse Stage Lighting.
The solution came through custom-rigging the front truss so that it was positioned nearly 12 feet off the downstage end. “We were excited to engineer a way to make that happen,” de Villers said.
Pulse Stage Lighting worked with Asbury Audio’s Jason Dermer and 4Wall Lighting’s Jimmy Canon (the lighting gear supplier) on the rigging solution.
“We had a great team working with us in Asbury Audio and 4Wall, and we were happy that we could accomplish the goals set out by the band and The Stone Pony staff to help make this show a success,” said de Villers.
