Super Bowl Venues Unveiled with GoVision Video Backdrop

ARLINGTON, TX — The North Texas Super Bowl Host Committee told production group CorporateMagic to “blow everyone’s mind” with a press event announcing North Texas’ plans for hosting Super Bowl XLV, set for the first weekend in Feb. 2010. Along with NFL standouts and 50 North Texas mayors, the event featured a video wall supplied by GoVision.
GoVision’s screen, made from 98 modular tiles of Barco NX-4, formed a 21-foot-by-12-foot video wall and provided visuals of many of the sites that will play a role during next year’s football championship. The wall also served as a colorful backdrop for Dallas Cowboys standouts Roger Staubach, Troy Aikman, Tony Dorsett and Emmitt Smith.

“We knew the event would draw dozens of VIPs from the NFL and across North Texas, not to mention a huge local and national media contingent,” said James Kirk, president and chief creative officer of CorporateMagic. “The host committee charged us with delivering a sensory experience befitting an event of the Super Bowl’s magnitude, and GoVision helped us pull it off without a hitch.”

“We’re excited and honored that CorporateMagic hired us to be part of yet another event leading up to Super Bowl XLV,” said Chris Curtis, CEO of GoVision and member of the Super Bowl Host Committee. “Our mobile LED unit was there when the host committee unveiled its logo outside the new stadium, and we hope to be there for all of the major announcements and festivities still to come.”

The press event, held last month at the Sheraton Arlington Hotel, announced 16 of the venues across North Texas that will host key elements of Super Bowl XLV, including the NFL Experience (in Dallas), Taste of the NFL (Fort Worth) and the NFL Tailgate Party (Arlington).
