Syncrolite Fixtures Add Punch to the 50th Annual ACM Awards

ARLINGTON, TX – The 50th annual Academy of Country Music Awards, televised with a record-setting live audience April 19 at AT&T Stadium, featured memorable moments including Garth Brooks’ tribute to the U.S. armed forces.  LD Bob Dickinson, Jon Kusner and the rest of the Full Flood team relied upon Syncrolite SXL 7K fixtures on stage and upstage to backlight Brooks and his band during the broadcast.

Syncrolite fixtures were also used throughout the stadium adding excitement and drama to the entire evening.  Twenty-four SXL fixtures provided big beams of light making dramatic backgrounds throughout the show.  Programming the dynamic stage system was Andy O’Reilly and Patrick Boozer while the Syncrolite and house system were under the experienced eye of Kille Knobel.  Tony Ward was the gaffer, Travis Slater was the Syncrolite crew chief and Jason Trowbridge was the lighting crew chief.
