DALLAS — You don’t have to be good at math to count all the Syncrolite Xenon fixtures that the U.S. Navy recently ordered to wash the West façade of the American Airlines Center for an event promoting www.navyformoms.com. In fact, you could count them with the fingers on one hand. Only five XL10 Syncrolite Xenon Skylights covered the 470-foot-by-120-foot area. Syncrolite also provided six SXB-7/3 units for the North façade (380 feet by 120 feet), and 12 more XL10 units were put on the roof of AA Center to produce beams in the sky. The company says its XL10s produce about 450,000 lumens per fixture and SXB-7/3s produce about 350,000 lumens.
The lighting display was produced by TrashTalk FCM/Drew Livingston. The crew included Syncrolite techs TJ Benton and Eric Braudaway. The site coordinator was Josh Henderson and the programmer was Troy Eckerman.
