Tomcat and InterAmerica Stage Partner at InfoComm

ORLANDO — Tomcat is featuring its Sky, Edge and (core) products at InfoComm this year, and is partnering with InterAmerica Stage at booth #1665 to promote SkyDeck, a modular wire grid system designed to provide safe access to theatrical lighting, audio cables, loudspeakers, stage rigging, and effects. Tomcat’s Sky, a ladder beam truss product with spigot connections, accompanies the InterAmerica SkyDeck system. It is designed for light, medium and heavy duty applications and uses a “Star Connection” system or can also be connected direct, and it has a range of accessories making it well-suited for building grid structures and modular trusses.

With its (core) product range, including (core)12 and (core)18, Tomcat has essentially taken conventional 12-inch-by-12-inch and 12-inch-by-18-inch light duty box truss and modified the components to provide a more efficient truss at a more efficient price. A 20.5-inch-by-20.5-inch version, (core)20,  is expected to be available later this summer.

Edge, Tomcat’s latest  pre-rig truss, has a 30-inch-by-30-inch format so it can fit within trucks in a configuration of four trusses wide and three high. Edge also offers added flexibility with rotating spigots and interchangeable ladders.

With a rotating spigot, a traditional corner block is not required. This reduces storage, shipping and cost for corner block accessories. The interchangeable ladder feature provides the option to replace the ladders if they are damaged instead of replacing the entire section of truss.
