More than 200 Sessions at USITT 2014 – Choose online or use the mobile app!
USITT’s free mobile app for 2014 is up and running, so you can map your schedule now for the Annual Conference & Stage Expo next March in Fort Worth.
Choose from among 200-plus educational sessions and meetings – and download the app — here. Use it before the big event and onsite March 26-29, 2014.
Information is already available for most sessions – from Simplifying Silicone and Props Can Kill! to The Well-Crafted Light Plot and Wireless Microphone Dressing, to Turning Thrift Store Finds into Period Costumes — and more!
USITT’s website and app let you browse for sessions by track – including sound, lighting, architecture, costumes, scene design, management, engineering, safety – or by presenter, skill level, type, date, or key word. Then plug them into a planner accessible from any computer or mobile device.
The mobile app also lets conference-goers select from 225-plus booths to visit at Stage Expo and map a walking tour, learn about companies and products at the show, and tap into Conference updates and chatter with a Twitter-ish feature called “Buzz.” Use it to flag events you don’t want to miss, like the keynote by comic actor Jaston Williams of Tuna, Texas fame.
More than 5,000 people in the performing arts industry visit USITT’s Annual Conference & Stage Expo each year for networking with industry leaders, continuing education, a hands-on view of new theatre technology, and awards honoring top designers and technicians in the field.
USITT, the United States Institute for Theatre Technology, is a year-round resource for the backstage industry. For more information or to register for the 2014 Conference, go to www.usitt.org/2014.
