LOS ANGELES — Punk rockers hoping to catch the 15th anniversary celebration of the Vans Warped Tour won’t have to travel to the Nokia Theater to catch 3OH!3, The Aggrolites, All-American Rejects, Bad Religion, blink-182, The Decaydance All Stars, Ice T, Katy Perry, NoFX, Ozomatli, Pennywise, Rise Against and Underoath at the venue. The live performance, slated for Sept. 6, will be taped and the performances distributed to 464 movie theaters for a special one-day showing on Thursday, Sept. 17, starting at 8 p.m. ET, 7 p.m. CT, 6 p.m. MT and 8 p.m. PT (tape delay). The taped segments will include red carpet clips and behind-the-scenes access footage. The event is presented by NCM Fathom and 4Fini, and the tour will be supporting Musicares with a portion of the proceeds.
Participating cinemas are run by AMC Entertainment Inc., Celebration! Cinema, Cinemark USA Inc., Cobb Theatres, Georgia Theatre Co., Goodrich Quality Theaters, Hollywood Theaters, Kerasotes Showplace Theatres, Marcus Theatres, National Amusements and Regal Entertainment Group movie theaters, as well as Arlington Theatre (Santa Barbara, Calif.) and Carolina Asheville (Asheville, N.C.), through NCM’s Digital Broadcast Network.
The Vans Warped Tour 15th Anniversary Celebration is being executive produced by tour founder Kevin Lyman and head of marketing and sponsorships Sarah Baer; event media strategist Spencer Proffer serves as co-executive producer and Hank Neuberger CEO of Springboard Productions is in charge of filming the event.
