Total Structures Sponsors Three-Day Outdoor Stage Roof Workshop
VENTURA, CA — Total Structures recently hosted its first Outdoor Stage Roof Workshop near its headquarters and factory. The three-day invitation-only workshop, attended by 45 owners and users of Total Structures outdoor stage roof systems, focused on their safe and correct use.
Topics included system design and engineering, rigging fundamentals, fall protection, equipment inspection/maintenance and wind/weather hazards. The workshop also covered the history of truss and how to decipher the data in engineering reports.
Rose Brand’s Curtain Call for Academy Awards
SECAUCUS, NJ – The 2012 Academy Awards featured a main drape fabricated from Rose Brand. The drape was made out of 21 oz. Marvel and custom sewn in Rose Brand’s West Coast facility. The drape featured 204 hand-sewn, jeweled medallions and a 4-foot-8-inch trim band. It was also sewn with 150 percent fullness.
My wife was concerned that our three-year-old wants to spend all his time with the iPad. Then I mentioned that someone told me the first word spoken by his 18-month-old daughter most mornings is “iPad.” I don’t know right from wrong when it comes to kids and mobile devices. But I do know that if we are playing with a toy and I get an important business call, I can hand my child the iPad and he will stop whining immediately.
