PORT EVERGLADES, FL — On Dec. 5, the world’s largest cruise liner ever built, the 1,181-foot-long Oasis of the Seas, part of the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line fleet, will set sail on its maiden voyage with lighting and atmospheric visuals provided by Martin Professional gear. The RCCL Oasis, built at the STX shipyard in Finland, has room for 5,400 passengers and a crew of 3,000, with a variety of entertainment amenity visuals created with Martin gear — from the Promenade, ice rink and multiple theatres to a variety of bars, lounges and dance areas.
Martin is also supplying an identical equipment package to the Oasis’ sister ship, the RCCL Allure of the Seas, deploying from the STX shipyard in summer 2010.
Martin has supplied all RCCL ships fleet-wide, including Freedom of the Seas and Independence of the Seas, two of the world’s largest ocean liners.
