SALT LAKE CITY, UT — CorporateMagic may not have pulled any literal rabbits out of any hats, but the turnkey production company coordinated a recent six-day, five-night conference for XanGo mangosteen juice dealers that included general sessions for some 6,000 people, formal events, a Pajama Party featuring the B-52s and an appearance by The Pursuit of Happyness author Chris Gardner.
In total, the event required five 53-foot trailer loads of lighting, video, sound and other gear.
CorporateMagic came up with the creative and show flow, produced the staging, lights, AV, graphic content, booked and managed talent, designed and set up registration, store and VIP lounge décor and displays, all done within a six-week time frame.
The general sessions, held on a multi-purpose stage and lit with 50 moving lights and LED fixtures, included projections on oversized letters spelling out “XanGo” via High End Systems’ DL.2s. Together with other meetings and breakout sessions, the event provided attendees with medical research on their flagship juice product and new network marketing solutions.
There were also up to eight different projection areas involving cyc and primary screens. Pairs of Barco FLM HD20 projectors beaming out 30,000 lumens of output lit up the main screens, and Digital Projection DSX12s were paired for 18,000 lumens of output for the cycs.
For I-Mag, the crew used Grass Valley LDK digital cameras, with the content controlled by an HD native event switching package built around a Kayak 1.5 ME switcher and several Barco Screen PROII high-resolution switchers.
The Pajama Party with the B-52s included a full lighting and sound package with over 100 conventionals and 25 moving lights, with the show bathing the entire room in UV black light at one point.
"I highly endorse CorporateMagic to any company looking to take their event production the next level," said Jeff Olson, senior director, marketing communications at XanGo. "No one understands messaging strategy nor the art of on-stage communication better. If you want a nice event that meets your baseline objectives, hire any one of the many production companies out there. If you want an unbelievable event that will far exceed your expectations, hire CorporateMagic."
