WISBECH, U.K. — 5 Star Cases has been chosen to supply flight cases for Global Design Solutions’ (GDS) LiteWare battery powered/Wireless DMX LED uplighters. “We selected 5 Star because of their great attitude, the quality of their products, the very quick response time and their ability to deliver the volume we need and work in a truly collaborative way with us,” said GDS’s Matt Lloyd,.
The Tour Grade flight cases were designed and specified by GDS’s head of engineering Richard Cuthbert, working with 5 Star’s in-house design team.
Each case houses 6 LiteWare fixtures in foam protected compartments. A battery charging plate fixed into the bottom of each compartment allows all six units to be re-charged while inside the case.
Also incorporated into the LiteWare case is a cable compartment, accessible from the front via a lockable, flush-fitting hinged flap system. The power inlet is mounted on a recessed dish, and twin cooling fans are also incorporated into the build.
