CAPE TOWN, South Africa – The Artscape Theatre has been equipped the four Robert Juliat 1800W MSR Victor followspots, supplied and installed by Electrosonic SA. The Victors – the first in South Africa – are installed in the 1,487-seat main Opera Theatre, the largest of the theatre's three auditoriums. The followspots will be available for upcoming shows including Le Grand Cirque Fantazie, African Songbook, the Cape Town International Ballet Competition and Mamma Mia!
Nicolas Tilney, the Artscape Theatre's senior lighting operator, credited Robert Juliat for "fantastic equipment with superb R&D," calling their followspots "extremely user-friendly with the placements of their controls" and "a general feeling of high quality."
