Bandit Lites Provides LEDs for NFL Teams at Wembley Stadium

LONDON – On All Hallow's Eve, dozens of larger-than-average sized men descended upon Wembley Stadium costumed as American football players. But it wasn't a trick. Instead, it was the fourth annual NFL game held in the stadium between NFL teams, this time, between the San Francisco 49ers and the Denver Broncos. Producers Julian Marks and Clive McElarney of Event 360 in London called upon lighting designer Vince Foster and Bandit Lites UK CE Lester Cobrin to illuminate the team introductions for the sold-out event.

Mindful of power consumption, Foster chose to use Chroma Q Chroma Strip Mark IIs and GLP Impressions for the bulk of the dramatic effects, which were used along with smoke machines, pyro and other performers costumed as American cheerleaders who were – well, cheerleaders.

The demand for American Football in London keeps growing, and more events of this nature are being planned in the future, reports Bandit, which counts itself proud to be involved in the event year after year.
