MADRID —The current world tour for The Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus has visited 25 U.S. states and has been seen by over 1.2 million people since it started in West Palm Beach, Fla. in December 2007. Now with stops in Italy and Spain, the tour is travelling with Clay Paky Alpha Spot 1200 HPEs, which are used as workhorse fixtures in the lighting rig.
Feld Entertainment, Inc. has owned Ringling Bros. since 1967. Irvin Feld and his son, Kenneth, are credited with sustaining the show’s momentum through promotion and marketing and initiatives to highlight the multicultural, educational and preservation-oriented aspects of the classic spectacle.
“We really enjoy working with the whole Clay Paky group as they go the extra mile to make sure their fixtures are perfect,” said Dennis Flenniken, electrical operations manager for Feld Entertainment. “The service is hands down the very best in the industry.”
He continued, “I have been with Feld Entertainment for 28 years and worked with just about every kind of light there is. The Alpha HPE series is the best series of moving lights to come along in years. We like the Alpha series first of all because of the brightness, secondly for all of the extra features and effects that come standard on them.”
Francesco Romagnoli, Clay Paky area sales manager for the Americas, added that “Feld Entertainment is an amazing company, delivering fun and wonder to audiences of all ages. We’re proud to support such an exemplary organization.”
Feld Entertainment also produces shows such as Disney On Ice, Disney Live! and High School Musical — The Ice Tour.
