MANNHEIM, Germany – For Germany artist Sido’s “SIDO VI” tour, Günter Jäckle and Friederike Krauch came up with the stage and lighting design for the tour, using 24 Clay Paky Mythos units, two full-size grandMA2s and one VPU plus MK2 (video processing unit). Photographer Ralph Larmann took these shots at the SAP Arena in Mannheim in late November; the tour ran through the big show in Berlin Dec. 7, 2015.

More details from Clay Paky (www.claypaky.it):

Jäckle and Krauch designed the tour right down to the smallest detail at Showlabor der epicto GmbH, in conjunction with the United Network Development (U.N.D.) design office. A 1:10 scale model of the whole stage was set up in the laboratory, which was used to program the lighting and plan the videos.

Jäckle explained what the Mythos Clay Paky meant to him and why he used MA’s video processing units again: “The moving lights had to be lightweight, bright and efficient. The Mythos is ideal for this. The MA video processing unit has been a guarantee throughout all my most recent tours. It is simply unbeatable with its perfect Frame-DMX sync, the capacity to display all kinds of videos, right up to Full-HD, and its various input options from video cameras.”

André Breß was lighting operator. Stefan “Cyber” Sieber dealt with the MA video processing units. Pat Buhre was production manager. PRG and Epicto provided the lights and video equipment.
