MINSK, Belarus – PR Lighting fixtures were used at the inaugural Crossfield Festival, which drew a crowd of 8,000 to a soccer arena here. The event, promoted by All Stars Agency, featured DJ, ATB and German production duo Cosmic Gate (DJ Bossi and Nic Chagall). FE Belimlight, which had worked on behalf of The Scorpions and Vanessa Mac for Belarus audiences, provided the staging and lighting. A key goal for LD Ilya Piatrouski of Blackout Studio was to maximize the visual impact, and he credited the price advantage of the PR Lighting gear as a factor in achieving that objective.
"I was looking for a powerful and bright moving head to create an abundance of color – and by using the XL1500 Spots and Wash lights wisely, we were able to achieve a great result."
The XL1500 Spots and Wash lights use a 1500W short arc discharge lamp with an efficient optical system. Piatrouski used 28 XL1500 Spot and 22 XL 700 Wash lights on the trusses, along with four XL700 and two XL700 Wash fixtures, controlled by a Wholehog III lighting console.
"We used PR effects everywhere – to light the DJs, dancers, performers and produce different lighting effects for the audience. We certainly made the right decision."
