For the first time in Frankfurt, the German company will showcase its new impression X4 Bar 10 and impression X4 Bar 20 fixtures. New Battens offer light curtain and backlight flexibility
GLP’s new impression X4 Bar 10 and impression X4 Bar 20 — two high performance battens that offer flexibility across multiple applications — use high output RGBW LED’s that are packed tightly to give a full batten of light.
The one meter long X4 Bar 20 uses 20 LED’s, while 10 LED’s feature in the shorter 50 cm X4 Bar 10. High quality optics ensure a smooth, homogenized output across the batten through a broad pallet of pastel and saturated colors. This allows for subtle graduated fades, or for distinct color breaks between LED’s, thereby boosting the LD’s creativity.
This is complemented by GLP’s exceptional dimming, which ensures that there is no color shift, only smooth even fades.
DMX control offers full pixel mapping capabilities, allowing a multitude of dynamic fades and chases through different intensities and colors.
The X4 Bar 10 and X4 Bar 20 both feature a 7:1 zoom ranging from 7 to 50 degrees, giving effects from a narrow angle light curtain to a wide angle backlight or washlight.
The fixtures also feature a motorized tilt, for fast refocusing, or to be used to add more dynamics to the output beam.
The X4 Bars have been specifically designed to give consistent pixel spacing between adjacent units, an important visual aspect for many designers using fixtures in view of the audience.
A further huge bonus is the interchangeable plastic covers that come with the products. Particularly useful is the optical diffuser (5° vertical / 30° horizontal) that helps to even the wall wash effect — even at short distances.
They are complemented by Powercon in and thru connectors for easy daisy chaining without the need for an external PSU, as well as multiple DMX modes, rubber feet for floor mounting and quarter-turn attachment points for rigging flexibility.
Both new products are shipping now.
New impression X4 L and X1
The latest addition to the successful impression range, the X1 features four high-powered 15 Watt RGBW LED’s in a compact housing that features continuous pan and tilt motion.
The fixed beam optics are interchangeable between different beam angles from the standard 7° lens, while the compact base of the impression X1 houses Powercon in and thru connectors for easy daisy chaining of multiple fixtures.
It is set to go into production later this spring.
Also being showcased will be the latest member of the impression X4 family — in the shape of the impression X4 L.
Introduced by popular demand, the fixture offers a full package of a pixel mapping features with front beam rotation. The LED luminaire also boasts a fast 7:1 zoom range, wide color pallet and high output from its 37 LED sources which are each rated at 15 Watts and feature RGBW color technology.
The impression X4 L, which will be shipping imminently, also offers smooth full range dimming, electronic strobe functionality, variable color temperature correction and 16-bit pan and tilt control, all in the sleek baseless design that has become a part of the GLP impression product range.
