BLACKBURN, U.K. – Within the last two months, UK lighting rental company HSL reports that it has invested some $3.9 million in products acquired to service its current work. The purchases include 300 new Robe moving light fixtures, including the first 60 LED Wash 600s off the production line in the Czech Republic plus 100 Robe 600 spots and 100 Robe 600 washes and an additional 40 Robin Beam 300 and Beam 700 units.
The company also acquired 12 Robert Juliat Lancelot 4K Arena followspots, supplied by Robert Juliat's distributor in the U.K., White Light. HSL also purchased 60 Liteware Chrome high output LED uplighters supplied by GDS, which are battery-powered and well-suited to corporate events and others with minimal load-in times.
Other recent LED purchases include additions to an existing stock of Colorweb 250 and 200 pieces of ChromaQ Colorweb 125 LED surface, purchased through AC Lighting.
HSL reported that it has also spent more than $1 million in Vari-Lite gear, including VL3500 and VL3000 Spots, VL3500 Washes, VL1000 Arc ERSs and VL1000 Tungsten ERSs.
