FLORENCE, Italy – Irene Grandi's recent Alle Porte del Sogno (At the Gates of Dreams) tour visited a variety of Italian squares and theatres, and LD Adriano Sanson relied upon more than 30 Infinity series moving heads to put each venue in its best light. Sanson noted that although it was "easier to express energy" in the outdoor squares where Grandi performed, he also strived "to convey the dreamlike atmosphere" that could be achieved more readily in the indoor theatres using a blend of backlighting and aerial effects.
For the outdoor venue, Sanson used 12 Infinity ACL fixtures, which he credited as "powerful and dazzling" with adjustable beams 1.7° to 6°; 12 1450W Wash XLs and 12 1500W Spot XLs with a zoom range of 8° to 49°. Two Panorama Power fixtures with 575W lamps and a TLT dual lamp system rounded out the rig.
