More details from D.T.S. Lighting (www.dts-lighting.com):
Priscilla Queen of the Desert — one of the most popular Broadway musicals — landed on the ‘Lola Membrives de Calle Corrientes’ theatre in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Lit by a light rig made of more than 50 D.T.S. moving heads, Priscilla Queen of the Desert has become one of the most acclaimed works of this season.
According to its director, Valeria Ambrosio, Priscilla Queen of the Desert is “one of the most technically complex works in the theatrical history of Argentina.” It features a live orchestra led by Gaby Goldman and the choreographic direction of Elizabeth de Chapeaurouge, complemented by a shocking wardrobe of over 300 costumes specially created by René Diviu.
The sceneries have been designed by Ana Repetto, integrated by the beautiful lighting design made by Ariel del Mastro (also Director of Photography of the blockbuster musicals ‘Por amor a Sandro’ and ‘Tango Feroz’).
36 x XR3000 SPOT CMY and 16 x XR1200 WASH were hung to 5 horizontal trusses, and set at the two sides of the stage.
The director Valeria Ambrosio has defined the light plot as a very attractive feature that you can enjoy at any moment of the show.
