LONDON – Richard Martin Lighting, which purchased 100 Clay Paky Sharpy fixtures, provided 12 of the compact units to Lee Allen, lighting director for a popular children's TV show, Blue Peter. Weighing just 16kg, the 189W Sharpy produces a crisp beam that has been compared favorably to those produced by larger, higher-wattage fixtures. "The light output from such a small package is amazing," said Allen, crediting the Sharpy for their speed and  compact size. "The lamps were small and discreet enough not to draw the eye in the set, but the effect they produced was gigantic."

Lee also used Nova Flowers and Pixel Par 90s for the show, which featured the arrival of a new co-host (Barney Harwood) and a guest performance by Britain's Got Talent-winning gymnasts, Spellbound.
