LONDON – For The Michael Ball Show, Richard Martin Lighting provided Clay Paky Alpha Spot HPE 300, Alpha Wash 300 and Alpha Wash 700 fixtures to illuminate the show's theatrical set. The show gives Ball, a well-known personality on the British musical stage, a platform for interaction with celebrity guests, cookery, entertainment and the occasional musical number from Ball himself.
Richard Martin Lighting noted that color, light distribution and a high ratio zoom, combined with compact dimensions, light weight and bright output were all factors in the company's decision to acquire the units last year and deploy them for this project.
The lighting designer, Roger Williams, also uses LED ribbon supplied by Williams' company, easily LED, to create "West End" type signage featuring the show host's name.
