RML Provides GLP Impressions for BBC’s Jonathan Ross

LONDON – Richard Martin Lighting (RML) continues to support Chris Kempton, lighting designer for the BBC's Friday Night With Jonathan Ross with a rig that now includes GLP Impression fixtures. The TV lighting specialists have been providing gear for the show since 2002 – with the GLP impressions joining the production within the last year.

The special chrome GLP impression XLs – purchased in July 2009 – recently provided the main focus when Groove Armada (featuring Will Young) performed "History."

"I was delighted with the performance," said Kempton, crediting the fixtures for their output and visual impact.

The XL units, he added, "looked huge on HDTV," giving a blast of color. "Their range is good, with delicate tints available as well as saturated colors. They are also quiet – which is important on a show like this – and reliable, and I will certainly be using them again on many of my shows."
